I have been a member of the Yahoo Group, Quilts4Military for about a year. This is the third mystery quilt I have completed with them. These quilts will all be donated to Quilts of Valor.
I have slightly altered the layout of the current mystery. I used scraps from my stash and tried to get a wide variety of red and blue fabrics into the quilt.
I have all the blocks complete and three more rows to add to the top. This is a square quilt-I tend to like rectangular quilts better but I am happy with the way this one is looking. The blocks were not complex to complete but it is taking quite some time to put them together with sooooo many seams.

If you want it rectangle just add a couple scrappy rows at the top and bottom. I don't think it would affect the design much. Love the quilt.
ReplyDeleteThis is a really stunning-looking quilt! Of course red, white and blue is always the best! Good job!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE how it is coming together - what a wonderful quilt!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great design for a QOV. Good colors variations too. I am knee-deep in QOV in my house right now too. I've had 31 come in during the last 2 months and I'm busy making bindings and backing for most of them.
