On the needles 1/25/13

A few more decrease rows and my latest pair of socks is done.  This is Stiletto Yarn from Plymouth Yarn Company and it was made in Romania.  I used my favorite pattern Simple SKYP, free from Ravelry.  These are for a friend with considerably larger feet then mine.  I was getting a little panicky about 1/2 way through the second sock but looks like I will have a little left over.  I guess I need to invest in a scale.  I haven't used this yarn brand before but it feels quite nice and I love the silver threads.

  1. Love these socks! You have a lucky friend. Thanks for naming the pattern, something I'm always interested in. I'm going to look it up!

  2. You are so right about your lucky friend. None of my "good" friends know how to knit socks. I'd be willing to make them a lap quilt in exchange for a warm, wool handmade pair of socks. The colors of these are real cute. They will look good with lots of things.

  3. That pattern is really popular with knitters - I keep meaning to try it but like the basic K3, P2 pattern so much that I tend to hesitate trying something different. Glad that you had enough yarn to finish your socks! Cheers! Evelyn

  4. Judy, you comment on my blog from time to time but I don't see an email on your profile to write back to you. Wanted to tell you that I love audio books too--always have one going in the car when I drive alone.
